Small Bathroom? Great Ideas!

white-bathroom-inspiration

If you have a small home like me, chances are you also have a small bathroom. Or two. I think we forget to make our bathroom special. It should be a place that makes us feel good, and also a place where we can stretch our creativity muscle. After all, you don’t spend hours a day in there, so take a few creative risks in the bath is a good thing. So here are some quick small bathroom decorating tips, and some great inspiration to get you rolling up your sleeves!

Small Bathroom Decorating Tips

Storage is everything. If it’s cluttered, it will never be a spa like space. Need help with that? Try our posts on DIY bathroom towel storage and repurposed bathroom storage ideas.

Use calming color schemes. Not only will that make your small bathroom look larger, it will be a peaceful place for you as well.

Add personality. Quirky storage pieces, a modern print shower curtain, or a focal piece of art you wouldn’t normally see in a bath all work towards making a statement. Your bathroom can be unforgettable no matter how small it is!

Use color! This is one space you won’t daily tire of lots of color, so use one you love.

Make sure you have proper lighting. I hate those compact fluorescents in the bathroom, because they give off such an odd light color. Use LED bulbs if you can for the truest light.  Now, be inspired!

In the second to last picture I would love to know who the bathtub is made by and where to get it?

Hi Stephanie…not sure if you found out about the bath-tub, but you could try contacting the House Beautiful magazine and I am sure they would be able to tell you…alternatively, you could make your own tub look the same by heightening it and then encasing it with a tongue and groove surround…good luck:)

    • I just Googed “rectangular bathtubs” and it came up with severaltubs exactly like the one shown in the next to last picture and where to purchase them. When you need to know, Google it! :)
