One of the most expensive decorative items we buy for our home is furniture. And the sad fact is, even in expensive shops it can be hard to find anything with any measure of personality at all. Creating your own furniture just requires a DIY spirit and a little bit of hard work. (And occasionally, a power tool or two!) And a good place to start is a DIY dining table project! After all, all a table is, is a base and a top…the rest is details! So check out these DIY dining table tutorials and give one a try. Love the re-purposed table tops! This dining table tutorial by Creature Comforts is a fav of ours right now… a little rustic and a little modern, but a lot cool!
I love the rustic nature of this dining table project from A Beautiful Mess! I might add a beveled glass topper, but the beauty of the re-purposed wood combined with the modern hair pin legs is right on today’s style target.
Im a pretty big fan of Restoration Hardware…not such a fan of their prices! Shanty 2 Chic has really impressed me with this tutorial for a RH dupe for less than $100! Some carpentry here, but come. on. folks. This rocks. Looks fantastic with the traditional chairs and furnishings shown here… would rock some more modern picks from Ikea as well!
Which one do you love? I can’t decide!!!Image Credits: Aspirational Hipster, Creature Comforts, Beautiful Mess, Shanty 2 Chic
